“Discount Broker.” “You get what you pay for.” Get ready to hear those phrases a lot when you ask brokers from traditional real estate firms, or even friends, about using Redfin to buy or sell a house. And let me unequivocally state: Yes, Tim isn’t on the same levels as those traditional brokers – he’s better. Much, much better. We bought our new house AND sold our old house with Tim, and he shined in every aspect of both transactions. He was ultra-knowledgeable of the market, gave us the exact right advice as far as pricing, was super-present and returned calls and texts immediately, helped connect us to the myriad of folks who provide every service you need during this time (inspectors, plumbers, electricians, handymen, etc.), calmed us down when we needed it, pumped us up when we needed it, and became the best ally/friend/professional you could hope for during these stressful weeks you’re upending your entire life. His demeaner and attitude were always perfectly suited for whatever the situation required – from Zen calmness to appropriate aggressiveness. That’s not an easy spectrum to cover, but Tim did it effortlessly and with aplomb. He also managed to perfectly time the escrows on our sale and purchase, an almost impossible task. So, understand that when competing brokers try to talk down Redfin, they’re doing that because the business model is changing and, quite frankly, their excessive profit margins are in danger. They’re scared to death of Redfin and agents like Tim. And they should be. I wish “now me” could talk to “then me” and tell me not to hesitate at all and hire Tim – ask Tim for my number because I’m happy to talk to you as well. Save on that commission and hire a top-notch agent who’s also a wonderful person -- it’s a no-brainer. You’re welcome.

“Buying and/or selling a home is scary and it's usually a person's largest investment. You must have an expert who can advise you and hold your hand every step of the way. Tim has been that person for both me and my daughter, and I can't praise him highly enough! He is my favorite person I've ever done business with in any field, bar none. Tim first sold and then bought a home for my daughter and her family. Then within ten days he also bought and sold a home for me too. He had infinite patience as he showed us both various houses and really honed in on our needs. He made the process so personal, and took our calls even in the middle of the night when we were worried or didn't understand something. As the Seller agent for both our homes, I feel Tim really looked after us and we got paid fair value. Then as the Buyer agent for us when we each bought new homes, Tim literally held our hands all the way through. He helped us strategize making the offers and walked us through the entire loan process until we closed escrow. He checked in every day to make sure we were feeling safe and cared for, and gave us timelines that were accurate.
